Terms of Use
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the QR & Barcode Reader app, published by Nikmesoft Company, Ltd. (“we”). By using the app you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
1. What you scan
QR codes and barcodes can lead to websites, apps, networks and contacts made by other people. We do not control them. Check a link before you open it, especially from codes in public places, and don't enter passwords or payment details on a page you don't trust.
2. Product information
Product details shown for a barcode come from Open Food Facts, a public database edited by volunteers, and search results come from the sites you choose. We do not check this information; it may be incomplete or wrong. Always check a product's label, for example for allergens.
3. Premium
- Premium is available as a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. A monthly subscription bought from an earlier offer keeps working and renews the same way.
- Which features are premium is shown in the app before you buy. From version 1.3 the app has no ads for anyone; premium unlocks extra features.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- “Restore Purchases” in the app restores premium on another device signed in with the same Apple ID.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to create codes for illegal or misleading content, and don't attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the app beyond what the law allows.
5. No warranty
The app is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or that it can read every code.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app or from content reached through a code. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
