Version 1.5 changes how the app handles information. This page describes version 1.5 and later first; if you use version 1.4 or earlier, read Version 1.4 and earlier, which applies to you until you update. You can see your version in the App Store.

This policy explains what the Fast Printer App: Print & Scan for iPhone and iPad (“Fast Printer”, “the app”) does with your information. Fast Printer is published by Nikmesoft Company, Ltd. (“Nikmesoft”, “we”). Questions: [email protected].

The short version (version 1.5 and later)

  • Fast Printer does not collect your data. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
  • There is no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs in the app.
  • Your documents and scans stay on your device. We have no copy of them on any server.

Your documents and scans

Documents you scan, photos you import and PDFs you create, edit, merge or organise in folders are stored only in the app's storage on your device. Like any app data, they are included in your device backups (iCloud Backup, or a backup on your computer in Finder or iTunes). Nikmesoft has no server copy of your documents and cannot see or recover them. Deleting the app deletes them from your device.

Text recognition (OCR) runs on your device with Apple's Vision framework; your pages are not uploaded anywhere to be read.

When you print, your document is sent with Apple's AirPrint directly to the printer you choose. When you share or export a document, it goes to the app or service you pick, under that service's own privacy policy.

Permissions

  • Camera — used only to scan documents. Camera images are not sent to us.
  • Photos — the app does not ask for access to your photo library. You import photos with the system photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you select.

Built-in web browser

The browser you use to print web pages loads pages directly from the websites you visit, which see your request like any browser's. It uses a private, in-memory session: cookies and browsing history are not saved after the app closes.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. The app verifies them on your device with Apple's StoreKit and stores your premium status in your device's Keychain. No purchase data is sent to Nikmesoft; we do not receive your name, Apple ID or payment details.

Diagnostics and feedback

The app keeps crash and performance reports from Apple's MetricKit on your device for 30 days. They are sent to Nikmesoft only if you tap Send diagnostics in Settings, which opens an email that you can review before sending — or not send at all. Feedback works the same way: it is an email you write and send yourself. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you choose to include, and use them only to answer you.

Version 1.4 and earlier

Your documents also stay on your device in these versions, and text recognition also runs on your device. In addition, these versions:

  • Show ads from Google AdMob to users without Premium. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect device information such as your IP address, device model, iOS version and language, an app instance identifier, and how you interact with ads. The app does not ask for permission to track you, so on current iOS versions the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to it.
  • Use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google) for anonymous usage statistics (for example app opens and screens viewed) and crash reports (device model, iOS version, app version and an installation identifier). Crash reports do not contain your documents.
  • Check subscriptions on a Nikmesoft server. When you buy or restore a subscription, the app sends the App Store receipt (products bought, purchase dates and transaction identifiers — not your name, Apple ID or payment details) to our server.
  • Download the list of printable pages from fastscanner.nikmesoft.com; the pictures are loaded from the website that publishes them (coloringpagesonly.com). These servers receive your IP address and the time of the request.
  • Ask for access to your photo library to pick photos, and let websites keep cookies in the built-in browser.

Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Updating to version 1.5 removes all of the above.

Children

Fast Printer is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and rights

You can delete any document in the app at any time, and deleting the app removes all of them from your device. Because we do not collect data in the app, we hold no information about you except emails you send us. To ask about or delete those, contact [email protected].

Changes

We will update this page when the app's handling of data changes, and change the date at the top.
