Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
This policy applies to the ScoreUp English: Test Practice app (“ScoreUp”, “the app”) version 4.0 and later, for iPhone, iPad and Android, and to the older iPhone version described below. ScoreUp is published by Nikmesoft Company, Ltd. (“Nikmesoft”, “we”). Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- ScoreUp collects no data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. On the App Store its privacy label is “Data Not Collected”, and its Google Play Data safety section says that no data is collected or shared.
- Your results and the words you save stay on your device.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.
Information kept on your device
Your test results, the words you star and the words you mark as learned are stored only in the app on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you update from the earlier iPhone version of the app, ScoreUp reads the results that version saved on your device so that you keep them; this also happens only on your device. Deleting the app deletes this information from the device, although your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) may include it, depending on your settings.
Study reminders
Study reminders are off until you turn them on. They are notifications that the app schedules on your device; they are not sent from our servers. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in your phone's notification settings.
Listening to words
When you play a word aloud, the app uses the text-to-speech voice built into your phone. The app does not send the word to Nikmesoft. Depending on your phone and the voice chosen in its settings, the speech service of the operating system (for example Apple's or Google's) may process the word under its own privacy policy.
Purchases
Purchases are made and charged through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google lets the app know which purchases you have. The app does not receive your name, email address or payment details, and version 4.0 and later do not send purchase information to Nikmesoft.
Older iPhone version (3.0)
Version 3.0 of the app, which still runs on iPhones and iPads with iOS 12 to 14, checks purchases differently: it sends the purchase receipt issued by Apple to a Nikmesoft server (nikmesoft.com) to confirm it. The receipt lists the app's purchases and their dates; it does not include your name, email address or payment details. We use it only to confirm your purchases.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes
If a future version of the app changes what is described here, we will update this policy and the date above before that version is released.
